Amber Rivera ENC1101 argumentative essay on Abortion

hi my name is amber Varun today I’m going to talk to you about my opinion on abortion abortion is a removal of an embryo or fetus from the uterus in order to terminate pregnancy abortion is a highly controversial topic and it seems like the world disagrees on getting one is absolutely needed in my opinion I am a strong believer in pro-choice I believe that the woman who is pregnant has the right to end her pregnancy but with guidelines such as you can now abort the baby after 20 weeks or after due to the fact that the fetus is viable and can live without the mother and in other words people who are pro-life believe that abortion and birth control and plan B is murder this Dame is incorrect because abortion is a murder it is a removal of an embryo when it is not a child it cannot feel here understand what is happening during abortion birth control isn’t killing anything it is preventing the egg from attaching itself to the endometrium or the uterine lining plan B acts before their pregnancy even starts Plan B prevents pregnancy it is not terminate an already existing pregnancy it is proven in the information on the box of Plan B or birth control if Plan B was considered an abortion pill abortion wouldn’t even be an issue Plan B would let’s talk about the facts here three-fourths of women that have an abortion are already mothers and they can’t afford another child so people feel the need to get an abortion for many reasons such as having a baby is expensive or this possum the relationship isn’t supportive or maybe it was rape or incest the list goes on to why a woman feels the need to get an abortion so again I feel that it should continue to be legal but with guidelines and not difficult to reach a clinic when you’re in need here in my city it takes about 30 to 45 minutes to get to an abortion clinic and to me that is a commute I will not like to decide to get an abortion and drive 30 to 45 minutes to get it and then to also be counseled and then have to come back all the way home and wait 72 hours and then to go back and then to finally have you ortion to me that is going out of your way for something that you already made a decision on I feel like once you feel like you need to have an abortion or you need to do something of that sort that is you that is your opinion that is what you want to do with your body and I agree that that’s your free that’s your freedom like it’s a free country I feel like you should be able to do whatever you need to do with your body whatever makes you happy at the end of the day I feel like you shouldn’t keep a baby just because I feel like if you want to have a baby you should be able to post food in its mouth or you should be able to put clothes on his back or a shelter the baby and take care of the baby and love the baby but if you can’t do all of these things I feel like there isn’t a need to bring the baby in the world or eating or maybe you have the baby and somebody adopts it either way it plays a huge role in freedom and religion and so many other different topics in this world I just feel like we should all be free and we should all be able to do whatever we need to make our body and our mind feel all that piece in my opinion

How to Write the UC Prompts: the Ultimate Online Video Course

hey Ethan saw your college essay guy here inviting you to my course how to write the UC application prompts so there are eight prompts and there are some really specific things that the UCS are looking for will address what are those specific things are looking for how can you connect each of these prompts or the ones that you choose because you’re only going to choose for two specific parts of you how do you stand out how do you make sure you’re that all the amazing parts of you are ending up in your application how do you focus on that activities list to make sure it really pops and how do you use that additional info section so we’ll cover all that over the course of six hours you’ll have with me hope you check out the course take a look at this quick preview and I’d love to have you along for the ride in March 2016 the UC prompts changed and some people freaked out and some people like you know some counselors emailed me I’m like what do we do and so I got to thinkin and I thought well this would be a cool opportunity to to you know to find out why they change and to put together some new resources for ways to find your you see your for UC essay topics in about four minutes and I don’t mean that if you’re a student listening to this that you need to find your topic in four minutes I just mean that I’m gonna spend about four minutes talking about these exercises so this is the short version I hold the position that everyone is a genius so how are you a genius and if you look at the handout you’ll see there are seven different there are seven multiple intelligences you know based on Howard Gardner’s multiple intelligences and the fun exercise here is to rank yourself you don’t have to have all of these but it’s nice if you have all of them it’s nice if you have an unusual topic if I had to say that one of these things is most important I’d say the thing in the middle unusual connections name the skill and then show me how it’s manifest in your life you know juggling is my skill and I juggle in all these ways and I juggle it you know retirement communities and I delight people but I also juggle things in my life right so juggling takes on a metaphoric significance in this imagined game with yourself imagine that I’m sitting across the table from you and you’re trying to stump me with some of these uncommon connections in terms of finding your topics I think for your you see activities your your you see essays your activities list is gonna be a great source and that may be kind of obvious but I just wanted to underscore it I wish we were in dialogue here and I could say well how do you know if it’s a no if it’s a great topic maybe we can discuss that more in the Q&A but here’s how I feel a great leader sees where needs our so where have you seen where a need is that feels like a little gem a stand out you see si like the one we just read he has an unusual topic like the sont or unusual connections this on tor has taught me all the things that I just mentioned social change connection to my family heritage and it has unusual language which I’ll call craft so from my money and here’s the takeaway here I think the main difference between the common app and you si si s is that students are going to want to value information over poetry

How to Choose The BEST Masters Thesis Topic

hey everybody Joel Hanson here anybody education education on anybody in knowledge and so today we’re going to cover a very important question which I think needs to be asked well ahead right when the time you’re considering you’re doing a masters is what are you going to do your thesis or research project actually on so this is only really relevant if you are doing a thesis based masters of some sort or looking to do a thesis based masters but essentially what is important you need to figure out is two things what are your interests and the time commitment or how much time you want to put into it if you just want to get in and get out do your masters where the thesis as quick as possible you really need to be very selective and careful on what your project is and what faculty and/or University you’re doing it at I’ll use an example so at my university I’m in my masters the University of Guelph different faculties have different requirements for masters so I myself I had to do three or four required courses I then have to you know pick my project and do my thesis and complete it I have friends in for example the engineering department and he was actually able to bypass his classes he was able to get his teacher to sign off and say he doesn’t have to do that one or two required courses and again this is really only pertinent and applicable in certain faculties and with certain professors so I I could not do that and there is no way around it but yet this individual was able to and as you can guess he was looking to fast-track his master’s and he really did so then the next thing to consider is the project if you want to get in and out be as quick as possible do not have to perform your own your own project to collect or create primary data do not involve humans if you are gonna involve or create your own project so my thesis is going to take a lot longer because I am involving a human sample and I’m conducting the research myself again my friend that I talked about he did a like computer based program applied masters so he literally just had to basically create a working program he was done so how you know and he did his master’s in just over a year mine’s gonna be a year and three-quarters the other quick way to fast-track your master’s again if you are gonna deal with humans is work on some data it’s already been collected you know certain professors have massive data that they’ve been working on it they’ve already collected you know let’s say an example it could be well the Guelph family health study this is a study done on hundreds of families they’ve collected a wealth of data and you can do projects analyzing specific pieces of it another thing though there the downside of this is it probably won’t be quite to your interest as much as if you’re able to do your own project like I am however that being said you could find something I’m sure relevant slightly applicable slightly of interest and again really coming down to why do you wanna do your masters so if you just want to get in and get out quick things make sure you talk to your faculty you talk to your professor see if you can skip classes get exemptions perhaps from previous experience or just do time sake make sure you pick an appropriate project that is either not involving humans or already on pre collected data and you will be able to do your masters in no time at that I hope you enjoy till next time
